Funded by the Sasol Siyakha Enterprise and Supplier Development Trust (Siyakha Trust), Faithrich Logistics, a 100% black-owned company nestled in the Vaal Triangle, has emerged as a key player in the transportation and logistics sector. Specialising in both short and long-distance journeys, they handle diverse commodities – from dry bulk products to chemicals for various companies.

A Transformative Partnership

Their transformative journey began in 2019 with support from the Sasol Siyakha Trust. The funding injection helped consolidate their existing loans and acquire essential trucks and trailers. Faithrich demonstrated unwavering commitment and financial acumen by successfully settling the loan, leaving room for further fleet expansion. In December 2022, a second loan enabled them to take a major step: acquiring a commercial building of their own.

On February 8th, 2024, this remarkable journey culminated in the official opening of their new property, which was celebrated by the Sasol Siyakha Board, including Chairperson: Grace Nndwammbi, trustees: Castalia Moloi and Lebelo Lukhele and members: Zelda Steyn, Ernest Dlamini, Mahesh Pillay, and Fund Manager: Yonela Jeneto.

The event celebrated Faithrich’s resilience, vision, and the power of strategic partnerships between the Sasol Siyakha Trust and SMEs, exemplifying the impactful role such collaborations can play in nurturing and empowering small and medium enterprises, paving the way for their sustainable growth and success.

Faithrich’s growth enabled by through funding and development support, has seen the entity increase its revenue by 40%. The funding also enabled the acquisition of 5 additional trucks to expand their fleet, leading the entity to move from 23 to 46 employees to support the growth.

Lebelo Lukhele, Chief Procurement Officer, delivered heartfelt welcoming remarks during the event, emphasising the significance of the moment for both Sasol and Faithrich, followed by Chief Operations Officer of FaithrichNomsa Mokoena, who eloquently shared the enterprise’s inspiring journey.

The event culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tour of the facilities and a showcase of the new trucks and officially opening the doors to Faithrich’s facilities. The tour of the newly acquired facilities allowed attendees to witness first-hand the vision turned into reality.

Lebelo Lukhele reflected on the day, stating, “It was a great day for Sasol as an organization to witness the results of our transformation and deliberate intent to create access to business opportunities for SMEs. We have witnessed the growth of Faithrich Logistics since we took them under our wing in 2019 – assisting in ESD interventions and funding.”
